lake superior viewing rooms

the project represents a type of open ended and even random public space, taking advantage of epic existing conditions and buildings. in this case, spaces are elevated on top of the ore shipping docks at the minnesota-wisconsin border on lake superior. the program could be but is not limited to cafes, music venues, restaurants, or basic exhibition rooms, all with tremendous views of lake superior, duluth/, and the surrounding landscapes. at the least, they could become outdoor gardens with a guardrail. it is not hard to imagine how nice the views would be from these structures, especially looking back at the city of duluth.
